If you use the Firefox browser there is an option in the toolbar for BBC news headlines in RSS feed. These are so short as to be occasionally ambiguous, if not downright bizarre.

I was wondering whether anyone else has noticed this.

Your contributions are invited for intriguing and/or humourous BBC (or similar) RSS feed headlines, with the date they were spotted (bearing in mind that they do change quite frequently).

Here's one from earlier on today, just to set things going (or sink the thread...):

You can actually see RSS feeds without subscribtion. On the BBC News frontpage, click on the 'RSS' button on the left. (See here, or on other BBC pages. [Biased] )

Looks to me this game is a bit like a 'funny or unusual headlines' one - which I think is a brilliant idea. Thanks, Euty. [Overused]

So, here goes:
quote:
Blair defends UK Katrina response

Oi! Was there one in the UK, too?
quote:
Katrina: Are you a survivor?

<tentatively> Erm, no? Why do you ask? [Razz]
quote:
India 'will cut' Kashmir troops

Converting to Judaism?

[ETA: fixed typo]

You know, if you suspect something's a bomb, the best thing to do is treat it like a bomb and defuse it or put it out in a field and detonate it. There's no reason to tie up the courts with speculation and arguments and all...

[Witness for the prosecution:] "Well, I was sitting nearby and heard it ticking."

[Defense attorney:] "Yes, but isn't it true you were wearing a wristwatch?"
