I wanted to post a couple of polls related to the UK's referendum on the EU. There's already a discussion thread about it, but I can't find a way of either adding a poll to existing thread or creating a new poll in Purgatory.
I can only find a poll option in The Circus, but don't want to duplicate the discussion there, which may annoy the hosts there.
Is there a way to post a poll in Purgatory or is The Circus the only place for it?

Polls are disabled in Purgatory, and the other discussion boards. This is because polls have never encouraged discussion, indeed they tend to suppress discussion.

As an addendum to Alan's response, there's nothing wrong with starting a poll in the Circus but pointing discussion of the issues towards the pre-existing Purg threads. It's been done before, and I'm sure it will be again.
