Think I'd better post here since I was asking after such a thread in the Styx!
The (maybe not so) grand total of 700 posts since Oct 09. Now if there was a counter for posts read I would score much more highly!
The way I'm going I suspect a large percentage of the next hundred are going to be taken up with everlasting sentences and being offensive in the Circus.....

Naught wrong with that. How you do expect the august host of All Saints has gathered at least 20,000 posts?

Coming up to 1,000 posts. Seem to have increased rapidity once I got the hang of some of the Circus games. Not quite on the scale of some here but it feels like going from 3 to 4 digits is a yardstick (not a milestone - that'd be from 4 to 5).

True. I'm only rarely in the Circus and when I am, it's mostly on the FLP thread.
I'm not a post count fetishist, but I like to proclaim it here whenever I've hit a round number. What I do like to do sometimes, is to check on which page I am in the directory. I'm on page 6 at the moment, in the company of some very illustrious people.

Posted by Jengie jon (# 273) on
:
High posts normally means they satisfy at least two of four conditions
- been a host at some stage including on private boards
- played games in the circus extensively
- organised something on the ship
- been around for a long time
Firstly none of these reflect the quality of their posting. Secondly, those who have been around a long time nearly always had a more profligate pattern of posting in the past.

Since Doubthink is, regrettably, no longer posting, you will soon be back on the first page.
Given the rest of the crew and passengers on the first page, I think I shall be spared the ignominy of moving there. Page 2 is bad enough.
tangent/ Not sure how the posting 120 sec delay is monitored. mousethief must have special dispensation. Or, perhaps, multiple browsers under different IPs. Or something.

Much like watching the odometer on your car. The second you look away it turns over.
Posted by lilBuddha (# 14333) on

Noticed I missed 15651. I've missed loads, but anticipated that one and blew right past it.
I occasionally check my posting rate and decided to compare it to a truly prolific poster. I almost had a heart attack when his total number and rate was the same as mine. Then I realised I had too many windows open and took the figures from the wrong one.
My still too high rate is half of his.
There have been small bursts, but my overall rate is 5 a day.

I’m the bottom left of your last post, right above the red Logged, it says Posts: 5831. That is your post count number. At least at the time of this writing.
Don’t look at mine, it is far too high. I’m just glad it doesn’t say Relevant Posts...

BF, you're a tube*. And a complete tonic.
* tube, (Northern Irish mildly derogatory slang) n. a fool. cf. eejitUsed in gentle mockery of someone who has done or said something daft.
