A few weeks ago I had a sizeable spider IN MY HAIR as I lay in BED! It then ran down my BARE ARM! Wiggins ensued as I stood shivering in the kitchen while my lovely husband moved all the furniture in the bedroom and sprayed the living fuck out of every crevice. TICTH spiders in/near houses.

Tonight I consign to hell the perfidious rodents who have decided to encroach on our privacy over the last few months and forced us to part with good money for a whole battery of killer traps.
And the attitude of our landlord who, when he eventually showed up and learnt that they "might" be coming up a drainpipe opening, mixed a concretey slurp up by hand and tossed the lot down the opening. I understand he wants to flog the place in a couple of years. We're sure not standing in line to buy.

In fellow feeling with Matt Black TICTH my British bank who have screwed up my monthly transfer to my Indian bank FOR THE SECOND MONTH RUNNING!!!

My first name initial is R, it has been R for over 63 years, it is R in my account details for both my British and Indian banks so why the fuck send the funds to the account of Mr D ******? Very nice woman at my local branch here called me to tell me as soon as the transfer arrived so I was able to phone UK for another lengthy chat with British bank, at enormous sums per minute, and it should be sorted today... or tomorrow... or failing that on Monday!

My Indian bank is super-efficient, no complaints there.

All English clubs were banned for five yeas from all UEFA tournaments following a particularly awful incident involving supporters of just one club, but racist abuse is a regular thing across the Balkans and Eastern European and even Spain and Portugal which have black players in their national sides.

Regardless of the etiquette of two in a row: TICTH exclusive bonus tracks added to albums in an attempt to make fans buy multiple copies in order to get every track. No, I'm not going to buy the iTunes version and the Amazon version alongside the physical CD version I actually want, just for 1 track. TICTH Apple, especially their Safari on the iPad! Crashed right in the middle of a long, multi-referenced post. Lost everything I'd typed and another post came in, ruining the effect of my post so no bother retyping it then. Fuck Apple and their "our software does not crash" lying bullshit! Tabbed browsing, how difficult is that? Every fucking browser on the market does it better than Safari, even IE.
BTW, while I am raving, my first iPhone crashed 3 times. Well more, but three times I needed to reset and reinstall the whole fucking OS! Never had to do that on my old Windows smartphone. So fuck Apple and their legion of buy anything zombies which prevent any real progress. A one button mouse? how long did that madness continue? If Apple designed a car, it would look beautiful, but not have a reverse gear. And all the Apple users would say how stupid other car makers were for installing a gear box with reverse. "We don't need to go backwards, I just smash through the garage, drive through the neighbor's and bang, I am on the road. Well wrong one, but I just go round the corner, down the next road about 5 minutes and then left and a short drive I am back in front of my flat, ready to start my journey. I wd lio call HM Customs and the Post Office to Hell. I ordered some thisngs from an American company and paid high postage. I had a card through the door to say that my parcel was at the postal sorting office and I would have to pay an exttra £14odd to collect it - made up of a customs charge and a post office handling charge. I son't know how either can be justified - the contents of the parcel are on the custome declaration sticker put on in America, and the package hasn't been opened. The poor lady at the sorting office was very apologetic and says that British custome now imposes a charge on any package where the contents are describes as being valued at over £15.

TICTH digital television. It can be a bit erratic around sunset, but every time the temperature drops, I lose reception and tonight it's gone completely. Neither the booster nor the indoor aerial are making any difference.

I've just paid out a chunk of money to renew the TV licence, as well. And please don't suggest iPlayer, this isn't an option for bandwidth reasons.

We never had half so many problems with analogue television as we've had since the switchover to digital. Now I've got part-time reception and one of my family's got none at all.

TICTH financial institutions. All of the fuckers who keep changing their savings rates, which means I now have accounts with more than 5 different institutions - and multiple passcode, x digit numbers, words, dates etc that I'm supposed to remember.

In the deepest part of hell, I consign The Post Office, whose savings accounts are held by Bank of Ireland (UK) Ltd. Having filled in the usual online forms, I was today sent a piece of paper which contains almost every bit of personal data you can imagine.

So if someone wanted to open a credit card or, I don't know, a mortgage in my name, all they'd need to do would be to intercept this one letter. Sent in the ordinary (unsecure) mail.

I don't know if it is a breach of the Data Protection Act to be so willfully shite with other people's information, but it bloody well should be.

TICTH my credit card company.

Last January when my old card expired, they issued a new one. That was fine. Then in March they changed my number and issued another new card. They have just done it again.

The only thing that I automatically charge to my credit card is my newspaper subscription. I have to tell them the new number over the phone because their internet site is not secure. Unfortunately, my hearing is very bad, and this type of phone conversation is an ordeal that takes a long time. I expect to go through this once every three years, but three times in one year is much too much.

Moreover, I am supposed to be able to activate the new card over the internet, but the site kept refusing my information. That's another phone call I have to make tomorrow.

TICTH individual health insurance plans. I thought under the much reviled Obamacare, insurance plans were required to cover preventive care as of 2010. I'm looking at seven different short-term plans from two different companies and not a damn one offers preventive care, or prescription coverage, or pays for *anything* until your ridiculously high deductible is met. Which unless, God forbid, you have a catastrophic illness, you won't do during the lifetime of the plan. And all of the plans cost at minimum $175 a month *before* they find out that my husband has a preexisting condition.

God bless the USA! I sure am glad I live here in the home of the free where no one will oppress me with affordable health care!

Now, I think some of them might well change their minds when they see our high taxes, high prices for homes, cars, and all things retail, and the smaller selection of available clothing sizes in our malls.
Not to mention the herds of deer and moose crowding out cars on our highways; wolves, coyotes and rabid racoons roaming our urban areas; and ravenous mountain lions climbing onto condo balconies to chew through screen doors and chow down on sleeping residents.
But, as a friendly people, we truly need to welcome all Americans who might wish to come here, and I, for one, will say nothing that could discourage them.

Why move to Canada when you can move to Vermont? No immigration controls and you get the same climate, the TV signals, the newspapers and a decent degree of French.

I’m just saying that to pretend it is the ONLY thing, or pretend that it is enough, is a type of wilful spiritual blindness that speaks little of your or mine baptismal and conformational promises. We bleat on about loving the Lord our God yet we are little more than moths round aflame. Pretending that we are holy because we can see the light (whilst never letting it refine us) and that the candle we orbit with such ferocity is the only candle.

Your crushing desire to be right makes you wrong. It is not wrong to know what you like and worship God in a way that suits you psychologically, emotionally and spiritually but please can we stop pretending that just because what you do is good there is not more which could make your relationship with God better. I’m not asking you to give up what you are (in fact I’m asking you to celebrate more fully what you are in your community) but I am asking for a degree of willingness to grow and change, to know the limitations of where you find yourself, to stop criticising others who do it differently and to recognise that the kingdom is near and may actually be found not in doing what you have done for the last 20 years or in adhering to petty and unfulfilling labels.

In the end churchmanship, is in my opinion, barely helpful and in pretty much every instance I have ever come across wicked. It labels, categorises and stigmatises. A high tower to throw rocks from, screw that.

Darllenwr was the 32nd voter of the day at our local polling station - at 4pm. Sorry, but whether PCCs are a good or bad thing, the elections have been a disaster. Okay, four or five separate people have pulled this stunt on me in the past couple months, and so far I have been trying to apply Franciscan empathy and charity, but in order to do that, I have to get this out of my system:

It manifests itself in a number of ways-- sometimes it will be in the form of mean personal jokes ("don't be so sensitive!") Hypercritical remarks ("what, you can't take feedback?") or dismissal of any problems/ concerns I might have ("Who worries about petty shit like that? Grow up and deal and stop whining!")

Any attempt to set boundaries is me "being an unreasonable bitch" and any references to life issues that might be happening are "dodging the consequences" or evidence that if I only lived my life the way X did (insert prescriptive here) I wouldn't have such problems. I made my bed, I should lie in it, I deserve no pity or camaraderie or slack.

Then, after repeated such incidents, I get fed up and I snap, and say ENOUGH. Or someone X actually cares about having a rapport with says, "don't you think you're being harsh?" and the same damn thing happens every time.

just broke up with my girlfriend.
have a doctor's appointment this afternoon and am afraid of what they will say."

At which point I guess I am supposed to say, "Oh it's OK, then. Even though I see you making an effort to be polite and civil to everyone else, I guess I should be honored that the fact that you use me as a punching bag affords you some release. In fact, thank you, give me some more."

Fuck that.

God didn't put me on this earth to be your scratching post when times are hard. When you use me that way, you make the choice to actively erode any sympathy and rapport you might have with me. If it happens consistently, I am going to work on the premise that my sympathy and rapport is not something you need-- and you don't get it.Simple as that.There's something I wrote up there about "sucking up consequences"-- right?

Today I consign to Hell all those gutless potshots at a poster who cannot effectively answer back on this thread. Have the courage to call him to Hell or shut the hell up. And yes I can tell the difference between an admin directive (ie I get RooK's post) and the sniping.

And No I am not calling you to hell for it. And yes, I recognise the hypocrisy.

If you are so unable to follow the simple friggin rules... may your ipods with the 'breathe in, breathe out' instruction run flat.

Close the damn thread already if the mouth breathers are going to predominate.
