It's Friday the 13th. Do you have any stories of "unlucky" occurrences that happened to you or somebody you knew on this artificially auspicious day?

Picked up the keys to my flat on Friday 13th December 1991. Still live there, and a slightly too large bachelor pad is now a slightly too small family home.

I should add that this is of course a *good* thing ...

In 1993, I was given a brand new car on Friday the thirteenth! The very next F-t-T, my still new car was parked in front of my house, and the neighbor across the street backed right into it. (In fact, the car was in five different wrecks in different places, all while not moving, and in most cases, the engine was not running.)

Other than that, I turned thirteen years old on Friday the Thirteenth! [Big Grin]

I think you will find, BTW, that it is Frigatriskaidekaphobia that is a fear of Friday the 13th, whereas Triskaidekaphobia is just fear of the number 13.

This year is a nightmare for Frigatriskaidekaphobics, having two consecutive Friday 13ths so early in the year.
