Hi all,
I am making an unexpected trip to Salisbury next week, with loads of free time, and am looking to attend some midweek church services/generally visit some churches whilst I'm there. In an ideal world, evensong at the cathedral would be top of my list, but I'll have baby ratlet with me...
Obviously Google is my friend for service times etc but I wondered if anyone has personal experience or recommendations? I am staying in the middle of town and will have a folding buggy and sling with me. Thanks!

Other than wandering round the Cathedral, I've only been to Sarum St Martin. Well worth a visit.

Is Bemerton accessible to you? St Andrew's (George Herbert's church) is a place for a pilgrimage and (tho' it's years since I've been there) quiet prayer, even if not for a service.

St Thomas's is right in the centre of Salisbury's shopping area. I attended as a child, but my memories of this are hazy and 30 years out of date, so not helpful! (They did have a 200 year old Sunday School though, as I still have the commemorative Bible)
I live not that far away now - there seem to be *a lot* of churches within walking distance of Salisbury. I've not been to evensong at the cathedral but the stewards were very indulgent of my toddler running round the 'big church' when I went with him in November. So I imagine evensong with a baby would not be so difficult. [ 23. January 2015, 10:45: Message edited by: Ferijen ]

Thanks all, will have a go at some of those next week. My other half has kindly offered to accompany me to evensong and take ratlet out if necessary!
