Having recovered from a coma a couple of years ago, and then got married, he entered a new lease of life, only to die of cancer last night.
An expert in anglo-catholic history, on the Soho drug scene, on racism and spoirituao direction, he was a one - off.
I shall sorely miss him.

Very sorry to see this. I worked at St Botolph's Project, Aldgate when he was community theologian at the church, and he was always enormously warm and supportive to everyone there: a master of the art of ministry through unobtrusive presence.

I found his books immensely helpful at one stage of my life. I think the warmth Albertus mentioned shone through them.

I just discovered the news through this thread. RIP Fr Leech. One of the most beautifully humane people the Church of England had.

He came to speak to us at theological college. What I remember most was his quiet authenticity as someone seeking to bring God's Word in Christ to the world.

Ken's funeral mass is in Manchester on October 14. Email of PM me for more detail.
One of our mutual friends said, about the timing of his death, he wanted livce long enough to see the coming of the Lord's messiah i.e. Jeremy Corbyn.

Chatting to a colleague this afternoon. We both agreed that the obituaries were lacking somewhat. Wondered if a group of 'disciples' will write a symposium of essays in his memory.
