I've been here 21 days (this time round), and this will be my 202nd post, which works out at just under 9.5 posts a day. Actually, since it's still only 7:30 am, and I'll undoubtedly make more posts today, the average by tonight will probably be over 10.

I don't think it is a good thing: I spend far too much time on forums generally. However, my other two Christian forums are a very good one where everyone knows everyone else well, but rather small, so there's often nothing new to answer; and a bigger one which is just too bonkers for words, and which I've more or less given up in favour of this one.

OK, so my little 300 doesn't compare much to WW's 30000! But a milestone none the less. [Smile]

I may not post that much but I'm here practically every day, just can't think of anything much intelligent to say most of the time. (And yes I know there are some posters who don't let that stop them! [Razz] )

However this is a good opportunity to say how much I appreciate this community and the discussions that go on in it. The period since I joined the Ship has been a time of reflection and rethinking of a lot about myself, faith and life in general. Discussions here have opened up all kinds of avenues that have been helpful in that process and for that I thank you all.

I've just noticed that I've passed the 14,000 mark, in a bit over 8 years. Quite how much of that time has been spent on the Ship, composing posts, sending them, deleting them and, yes, reading stuff others have posted is another matter, but I wouldn't write it off as time wasted for a moment.

Somewhere in the past few days, aided no doubt by a wave of duplicating posts, I completed my third thousand. It took a lot longer than the first two.

I'd like to think that means I ponder things more carefully now, but I suspect it just means I've been busier.

6248 posts since 2001. Hmmm ... some kind person can 'do the math' as the Americans say to indicate whether this is excessive or not.

I'm still a novice compared to Mousethief and some of the others who must surely be posting in their sleep, when they're on the 'john' ... as the Americans would say, or even, heaven forfend, when they're on the job ... (phnaar! phnaar!)
