Look, I know what you're getting at, bozo. I was just trying to be colorful and using the term "Victorian" to mean non-modern. Next time I'll be SO specific and say "England during the 19th century", so you'll be in awe of my pedantry.

Hey, IAAFEO it, OK? How dare you question my absolute knowledge!!!

"Sense and Sensibility" is Victorian? It was published in 1811 (although written in 1795) and Vicky didn't ascend the throne until 1837 and the term "Victorian" didn't come into vogue until the 1850s.

Iaafeo "Victorian" because I can do a web search on the meaning of the term! [Big Grin]

You're right about "S&S", but "Earnest" was written in 1895 which would make it a Victorian period publication.

So, now IAAFEO both pre-Victorian AND Victorian England, because I've seen BOTH movies! Thank you, boys, for expanding my expertise to even greater reaches!

On the otherhand, I am an EXPERT on the Voter 2000 Florida experience since I read the a bunch of Left-Wing UK based papers and they knew everything that was going on...and how the USA electoral system is so unfair/biased.

You set a challenge; why do women never remember the good stuff, but always remember the bad?
Because they can.

Actually, you'll find they do remember the good stuff, but good times aren't much use in an argument, hence the female focus on the bad (i.e., your mistakes and your family), which are always, always useful sticks with which to beat their men.

Men, of course, are constantly deserving of such beatings, since we're essentially less civilized than women, and so we're a constant source of frustration and embarassment to them.

The smart man is aware of this frustration.

The smarter man will capitalize on it.
