I'm not normally one to shy away from picking on whiners, but I think your wee experiment might be a bit flawed, Kelly. Firstly, how often is an edit merely a one-character change? Secondly, you wouldn't be on a broadband connection, would you? Finally, as a Host you're not subject to flood control restrictions, which might play a part in editability.
Other than that, though, yeah - people should learn how to use Preview post.
1. Ok
2. Ok
3. Not everywhere! (do all the other hosts get all board hosting edit priviledges besides me?)
Still I kept it up for a pretty long time. I guess my work on radio has taught me how a minute can actually be an eternity if you use it right, and I wanted to share the love.
Also, I was just curious and was in the mood to screw around on the UBB thread.

I didn't mean editing powers, just that you didn't have to wait 90 seconds between edits. If the flood protection applies to edits (and I'm not sure it does, because it only was instituted after I became a host), then it's possible that some shipmates might not be able to edit more than a couple times regardless of how fast they type.

I just repeated Kelly's experiment.
So flood protection doesn't apply to edits.

So does the one in your sig, Pants, if you try to donate. It's just a notice that you are entering a secure site.

Pants? Don't you mean Smudgie?
I don't get any problem with either site. Though, that could just mean I've not got my security settings hiked quite as high.

The security notice is no longer there. I didn't mean the one about "secure and nonsecure items.. do you wish to procede", I meant the one that had a big exclamation mark on it and said that the site's security clearance had either elapsed or been removed.
Scot, much as I love you, I am rather shocked that you don't know the difference between a penguin and a pair of pants. Do you walk funny?
