Oh yes. Iran is toast. And another generation of American servicepeople will be killed and maimed to make it so. (Well, a "surge" in the numbers -- none of our ongoing wars has ceased.)
And there was me hoping that maybe, maybe, because Trumpkin is as yet so unaligned, he may have the temerity to dump the whole Saudia-Arabia love-in and realign US politics on the Arabian Peninsula to something that might just reflect the West's long-term interests.

There again, it's probably me in a state of psychological denial of what is more likely to come, clutching at whatever straws I can get my hands on.

I'm not going to post a video link and force the hosts to watch it but it isn't hard to find on Google. The show Saturday Night Live opened the show this week with the person who played Hilary in their pre election sketches performing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. I found it moving.

Mousethief posted it on the Cohen thread in All Saints. It's extraordinary.

I posted a link to it on the Aftermath thread in Purg. It's short enough and beautiful enough that I figured it wouldn't be too hard for the H/As to watch.

It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I hope Hillary watches it, and puts it on her phone or something.

I was thinking that, too. I bet Ms. Clinton will love this.

When I watched it I broke down and cried. Again.
