Excuse me while I gnash my teeth, tear my hair out in lumps, bang my head on the table, etc etc!!!! I just highlighted many sections from two posts (of W Hyatt's in Purg), put them into an e-mail blank, repeating this procedure several times and every time clicking 'yes' when it said, do you want to save changes?
BUT IT'S DISAPPEARED!!
I should have known better, I've got the much unloved Windows Live Mail, which keeps adding unwanted folders to list of files, puts posts into whichever folder it chooses and EATS the rest.
Okay, I shall patiently do it all again. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

I hadn't tried beyond nesting them once like that - and I haven't tried Roman numerals yet either. When I tried it the first time I just wondered if it would work and tried it out on preview post.
You can do bullets inside a numbered list too, if you want. [ 12. November 2012, 21:30: Message edited by: Curiosity killed ... ]

Thanks Curiosity killed
. I had forgotten where I had seen this used, else I would have credited you for the example.
Lists are lists. List items can be decorated with bullets (list) or with numeric markers (list=1) or with letters, upper or lower case (list=a or list=A).

That works, but the coding after the bullet points isn't making me happy - it doesn't look logical and you can't go back to the lettered list, second layer of points, after bullet points. Roman numerals are not recognised, list=1 gives numbers, list=a/A, gives letters
