Prayers, please, for the Intrepid Family as we make the trek to Dowager-Land on a foul wet day. We'll see her today on her birthday and then tomorrow we have to manoeuvre both the Dowager and the even older Aunt M to church for Auntie Ruth's funeral
Please pray for safe travelling for us, for Miss S and little Sebastian as they come to see the Dowager today; and for Master S, trekking home from the Euros in France earlier than intended so he can come to the funeral
(it does mean he'll miss Wales-Russia; silver lining in the darkest cloud)

We should be leaving Tunisia tomorrow by boat to return to live in the UK. STILL needing some official paperwork for leaving, have had trouble with computer and car yesterday. Car is being fixed (we hope), we will be driving across Europe with a full car so problems with the brakes not good!
Prayers for all official paperwork to get done and for safe traveling much appreciated. And for us as we leave this place that has been our home for 9 years. And that everything that we need to pack in the car will actually fit in....
Thank you. I appreciate that there are always people here who will pray!

Piglet - Yes we did! Just last week a family who had been thinking about it got back to us and said yes! We took the cat to her new home last Thursday. We were sad to say goodbye to her. But they are a nice family who have had cats before. The children just need to curb their enthusiasm a bit as they want to pet her but she's a bit scared of them at the moment. But I spoke to the Mum yesterday and it sounds like the cat is settling into her new environment. I'm going to miss her though....

P's operation wasn't a success. The tumour couldn't be removed and he will be embarking on palliative care. Please pray for him, his wife R and their family.
Please also pray for all couples who need mercy and healing in their marriages.

Praying for all.
And also, again, for Robbie's family, who learned yesterday that he had gone, within a few hours of leaving, over to the Isle of Wight and on the train towards Shanklin. Still not seen since Monday. It is hard to know whether this is more or less disturbing. [ 22. June 2016, 07:40: Message edited by: Penny S ]

Some weeks ago I asked for prayer for W who had a recurrence of a brain tumour which was removed once. This was inoperable. He died this morning. A, his second wife and their daughters in their early twenties are here in Australia. His first family and grandchildren are in Scotland. They lost their mum many years ago and now their father and grandfather.

So much sadness, so many needs for prayer.
From me a more trivial request. I have lost my car keys. I know they are in my flat somewhere, but both the main one and my spare set are missing and so far I can't find them. I have a horrible sensation that when I put them down (whilst rushing to answer a call of nature!) they fell somewhere and I then forgot to make a mental note of where they'd fallen. And as I'm not using the car much (slowly healing ligament damage in my clutch foot), it's a few days since I saw them last. I can't afford the money or the time involved in getting new ones made at the moment and I need my car (and some of the things in it!) Please pray for my continued perseverance in searching and that they do actually turn up before too long.
-------------------- Miss you, Erin.

Just a note to say that the colonoscopy went extremely smoothly this afternoon: there was endless waiting around, but I was home around 7.30pm to eat a decent meal and drink a lot of apple juice! The event featured the shortest general anaesthetic in history (I estimate around 90 seconds!!) - samples have been taken to judge how to treat an inflamation problem, but whatever the underlying cause, it should be straightforward to treat.
So, thank you all for your prayers!

Keeping you in my prayers.
Piglet, thank you so much for this. I've been trying to work out how to frame a reply without sounding rude or ungrateful. The thing is, I've tried cathedral evensong (only twice I admit) and it really isn't my thing. The problem isn't that I don't want contact with other people; I do want it, I want to belong and feel involved, and I want to feel I'm part of what's going on. Which I'm not at my church any more. It's hard to explain. But thank you so much for the suggestion and thank you for your prayers. Everyone.

My son in law saw a neurologist yesterday who tested him more thoroughly than before. He's referring him for a further scan. So this is good. But he is in pain most of the time now and his condition, whatever it is, isn't progressing in a 'normal ' way. Because of this there's no recommended treatment which is hard to accept. So prayers please for him and cb. They are so young to be going through this.

A while back I asked for prayers for Edith the Chihuahua. She didn't make it--a few days later she started having frequent seizures, and her doctor said she suspected a brain tumor. Edith had been my neighbor's companion for nine years (meaning that she was almost eighteen) and had helped him get over serious illness. Please pray that Edith's human friend can find some comfort--I know he misses her terribly.
Also on the medical front, my friend and colleague P. underwent knee replacement surgery on Tuesday. I would appreciate prayers for an uncomplicated and reasonably quick recovery. Thanks to all.

More information on why Robbie Gibson needs prayers. He has two medical conditions which could become life threatening, and does not have his medication with him, and may be disorientated and running a fever.
This explains the early involvement of the police, and is very worrying.
