For all those posting and those posted about.
IF there are any spare prayers, there's been some sort of snafu with my work authorization renewal, that's resulted in me and my daughter being turned away from the border and "stranded" at the airport. We're lucky enough to have funds for a room for the night but really do need the job and the wherewithall it provides, and would really, really like it to be cleared up before Monday.

I need a job. My cat might be dying. (I'm taking her to the vet next week, and worried about what I can afford...)
My car has a million things wrong with it.
And my dad's Alzheimer's is progressing quickly. My mom is his caretaker, and their finances would have been OK without the Alzheimer's.
Weirdly, I'm in decent shape, emotionally. I feel hopeful. But I'd still appreciate prayers for any or all of this stuff.
Thanks!

Two prayer requests from the village, please:
The brother of my friend M's mum was taken to hospital in the city yesterday, I'm unsure of the diagnosis but I'm sure God knows.
Also last night I went to a pooja prior to B's family heading off on a pilgrimage to Sabarimala - the pilgrimage never happened as the brother of the kids' late grandfather died last evening - funeral ongoing as I type.

I have found this year and especially this last month really difficult. As today marks the beginning of a new Church year I'm praying that it will also mark the beginning of a better time for me.
Still feeling though. And wondering how I'm going to get through Christmas And wondering if anybody's actually listening when I (try to) pray [ 27. November 2016, 09:26: Message edited by: Abigail ]

R. died last night. He had seen all his family yesterday and been able both to hear and to speak to them. Thank you for your prayers.
The friend I mentioned a few days ago, E., who was also dangerously ill, seems to have become more stable. He will be meeting with the doctor today to 'discuss his options' - which may be bad, or may be not so bad: I don't know.

Hate to be such a whiner but ... I'll be attempting another Port of Entry renewal of work authorization this evening and could really use the comfort of prayer!

For everyone affected by the violence at Ohio State Univ. today. (AIUI from the news: purposely running a car into people, then stabbed a bunch of people. Latest report says 11 people went to the hospital, one of whom was seriously injured. Attacker killed by police. He was reportedly a Somali refugee, which will play into many people's fears.)
For me: Dealing with assorted unsettledness, usual health stuff, and private intentions.
Thx.

Please say a prayer for our parish - we had a bit of a shock on the weekend when our vicar announced that he has been accepted as vicar of a parish near Oxford and will.be leaving us, after just 4 years, in February.
