Lord, now let thy servant go her way in peace.
Give her peace and freedom from pain as she steps out of our time and space to be with you, where you are. Comfort those who mourn for her passing, and let memories live on.
We lift up our eyes to the hills; from where is our help to come? Our help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. He will not suffer your foot to stumble; he who watches over you will not sleep. Behold, he who keeps watch over Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord himself watches over you; the Lord is your shade at your right hand, So that the sun shall not strike you by day, neither the moon by night. The Lord shall keep you from all evil; it is he who shall keep your soul. The Lord shall keep watch over your going out and your coming in, from this time forth for evermore.
I shall be praying between 3 and 4pm GMT.

May the good Lord, Jesus, keep us strong. May the good Lord, Jesus, give strength to Molly's family. May the good Lord, Jesus, help us to lift up our hearts to Him and thank Him for all the good memories we have of Molly. May the good Lord, lift our spirits because we know our sister is going to a better place, where there will be no more pain and suffering.
Into the arms of Jesus Christ, I commend my dear sister, Molly, and into her heavenly reward for a life well lived.

Dear Lord, Look down on us as we pray for our sister Molly. Comfort her family and her friends at this hard time in their lives. Give strength to them as she prepares for her place at your table. May we find comfort in the fact we were lucky enough to have been blessed by her love, her friendship, and her constant humour and stories. May we hold her close in our hearts for evermore and learn by her example. Lord God above, hear our prayers and give us all the strength and courage to face what is to come. May she walk forever in Fields of Gold.
Amen.

Psalm 27
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom then shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom then shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an host of men were laid against me, yet shall not my heart be afraid; and though there rose up war against me, yet will I put my trust in him. 4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, which I will require; even that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the fair beauty of the LORD, and to visit his temple. 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his tabernacle; yea, in the secret place of his dwelling shall he hide me, and set me up upon a rock of stone. 6 And now shall he lift up mine head above mine enemies round about me. 7 Therefore will I offer in his dwelling an oblation, with great gladness: I will sing and speak praises unto the LORD. 8 Hearken unto my voice, O LORD, when I cry unto thee; have mercy upon me, and hear me. 9 My heart hath talked of thee, Seek ye my face: Thy face, LORD, will I seek. 10 O hide not thou thy face from me, nor cast thy servant away in displeasure. 11 Thou hast been my succour; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. 12 When my father and my mother forsake me, the LORD taketh me up. 13 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in the right way, because of mine enemies. 14 Deliver me not over into the will of mine adversaries: for there are false witnesses risen up against me, and such as speak wrong. 15 I should utterly have fainted, but that I believe verily to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 16 O tarry thou the LORD'S leisure; be strong, and he shall comfort thine heart; and put thou thy trust in the LORD.

O God of grace and glory, we remember before you today Molly, our sister. We thank you for giving her to us to know and to love as a companion in our pilgrimage on earth. Lord, you are in the midst of us, and we are called by your name: do not forsake us, O Lord our God. Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work or watch or weep this day. Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous, and all for your love's sake.
Glory to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen. [ 04. December 2002, 16:57: Message edited by: Erin ]

This post comes from my better half Jack who appolgises that it is not in prayer form but it comes from the heart (with appologies to the composer of the song)... Where there are no words, we let the music speak:
Goodbye to our rose may you ever grow in our hearts ...
soon you'll belong to Heaven and the stars will spell out your name...
Loveliness we're losing there'll be empty days without your smile but this torch we'll always carry for our Ship's golden child And even though we'll try the truth brings us to tears all our words will never express the joy you've brought us through this year...
Goodbye darling friend from a community lost without your soul we'll miss the wings of your compassion more than you will ever know...
and your footsteps will always fall here along our Ship's greenest hills; your candle's burned out long before your legend ever will...."
(Based on a version by Bernie Taupin and Elton John written for Diana Princess of Wales' funeral. The original can be found here. )

Psalm 16: (my favourite psalm)
Song of Trust and Security in God
1 Protect me, O God, for in you I find safety. 2 I say to the LORD, "You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you."
3 As for the holy ones in the land, they are the noble, in whom is all my delight...
5 The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; my future is in your hands. 6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; I have a goodly heritage.
7 I bless the LORD who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. 8 I keep the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices;my body also rests secure. 10 For you do not give me up to death forever, you will never abandon me.
11 You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there; I do not sleep I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die.

I am praying as and when I can, even though I can't fit the schedule easily. This poem comes back to me as I pray, by John Donne:
Hymn to God my God, in my Sickness.
Since I am coming to that holy room, Where, with thy choir of saints for evermore, I shall be made thy music; as I come I tune the instrument here at the door, And what I must do then, think here before.

1 John 3
1. How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
++++++++++++++++++++++ I love to say this collect from the short Evening Prayer service.
Lord Jesus, stay with us, for evening is at hand and the day is past; be our companion in the way, kindle our hearts, and awaken hope, that we may know you as you are revealed in Scripture and the breaking of bread. Grant this for the sake of your love. Amen.

Father,
Thanks for the time Molly's had here. We lift her and her loved ones up to you that she would make the journey home easily and that her loved ones' sorrow would be short-lived and sweet. Bless her Lord and conquer any remaining pain. Be with her -- bathe her in your love.
And Molly, we look forward to spending some time on the porch with you when we get Home as well. Until then...
In Jesus Name,
I don't know where you lay your head or where you call your home I don't know where you eat your meals or where you talk on the phone ...
... Come and go with me to my Fathers house Come and go with me to my Fathers house
