Please pray for my parents. My sister has told my father to ring 999 due to the state mum is in.

When the ambulance came they decided Mum needed to go to A&E. This is slightly complex as it really means Mum isn't safe at home as she is delusional and Dad is not coping with it.

It may be just another urinary infection, but given that, with the last one I ended up taking both my parents to A&E, a hospital bed may be the safest place for her even so.

It might end with emergency admittance to respite care. Hope that Dad has the grace to accept that.

For Jengie Jon and her parents and her sister.

For K. who has a really important job interview in the morning.

For cousin I. who finally got a specialist to look at the vocal cords that were damaged when he was intubated after his cardiac arrest. Turns out his vocal cords are fused together wit scar tissue. He's in serious pain and his voice may be permanently weakened.

Please pray for our friend C. She is bipolar and has been going through a particularly bad patch over the last few months, including planning suicide. She and her husband became Christians a few months ago, and come to our church.
She has been asked to consider voluntary admission to a mental health unit and to start Lithium. She and her husband are renewing their wedding vows on the 30th, and her CPN has assured her that that won't be cancelled!.She is scared of going in, but accepts that her husband can't look after her 24/7, as it's wearing him down.
We need some divine intervention.

Herself is still recovering from the caesarian but is beginning to walk a bit more, the babies are still in Neonatal ICU where Himself goes to see them regularly but I don't think Herself has been able to go yet so I've suggested he borrow a wheelchair and take her - prayers please that they let her visit!

Please of your charity pray for a dear friend of ours, wife of the best man at our wedding. Ten years ago she survived an op. to remove a brain tumour, which has now shown signs of regrowth.

It isn't malignant, but they can't leave it to grow unmolested so she needs 28 days of successive radiotherapy which will probably leave her exhausted - she is 70 or thereabouts.

May the treatment be successful and the after-effects less severe than she fears.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer

Praying [Votive]

Please pray for me - have to resign by tomorrow and panicking about it. I know I will cause trouble for the small company I am leaving and feel very guilty about this, as I have not been there long (have resigned once before, after which the persuaded me to stay). I know the current company have been promising more responsibility and training but not delivered. However, I also understand their position and the thought of telling my manager has literally made me sick for the past week.

Thank you!

I usually only post here when I'm feeling miserable so I just thought I would take the opportunity to say I'm feeling slightly better than I have been and hugely grateful for three things:
  • Yesterday evening I had a long chat with my vicar which made me think that maybe there could be a light at the end of the tunnel regarding my church situation
  • To my huge surprise two of my work colleagues gave me a box of chocolates and a card for my birthday. It was completely unexpected and so nice of them.
  • The knee pain which has made walking very painful for the last few weeks seems to have gone! I can run upstairs again!

I feel like I put my foot in it in a work meeting yesterday and possibly lost the support of some senior people who have been behind me until now.

I do think there was some truth to what I was saying but I probably expressed it badly.

Been feeling fairly demotivated and pointless at work for a while anyway, so now even lower.

I would be very grateful for your prayers that I haven't caused any lasting offence or damaged any relationships in the long-term, and that I can start to feel like I belong at work again.
