Watermelon. Not posted yet, and a longer word than "raspberry".

Since it's more important to not get knocked out than to win each round (hint hint, newbies!), that should be enough for now [Smile]

Q. Why are vegitables different colours like red, orange, green, yellow?

A. Because they are for aesthetic purposes. Otherwise the plate of meat and potatoes with gravy would be only brown and white.

You don't actually eat any of these things, do you? [Projectile]

My vote is for Passionfruit (this being a Christian website...)

When I was growing up I called them "Lemonade Fruit." They are good to eat when dark purple, hard, and slightly wrinkled. The inside is a yellow-green pulp filled with seeds, which tastes like aromatic lemonade.

Might I suggest that competitors also consider what affect their signature lines might have on their entries.

Lack of one may make your post invisible: certainly you wouldn't want someone else to steal your entry, or the Quizmaster to fail to score your post.

Point taken, but I don't think anyone would deliberately steal credit. It is more likely nothing more than a misunderstanding. Since you brought up sigs---(Pssst...eyes looking meaningfully at the previous page).

There are definitely some Originality points coming your way Dolphy, hopefully before the men in white coats. [Biased]

TWO REQUESTS RECEIVED:

1) Professorkirke would like to join in as a full member and I will allow him to unless I receive an objection from an existing player. Is he a Superstar? Will he steal your thunder? As it is still ROUND 1 nobody should lose out.

2) Procrastinus has changed to Doublethink and I am happy for him to continue under the new name unless an existing player has an objection.

N.B. At the end of Round 1 once there have been some knockouts there will be no more entries. [Ultra confused]

Horseradish

"Horseradish is a perennial herb and a member of the mustard family, to which cauliflower and Brussels sprout belong. This pungent root grew in Greece more than 3,000 years ago. Medieval people regarded horseradish as an aphrodisiac and claimed it to be the cure for everything. From the Bible, it is known as one of the five "bitter herbs" and is traditionally served at Passover. Folklore also has it that the Indians used horseradish to treat toothaches. Horseradish syrup was taken as a cough medicine."

I wonder what roasted dolphin is like? [Snigger]

On another note - being helpful, the link that Smudgiepoos suggested is well worth a look at, especially if you are new to this game as I am.

Ohh, Annie P is being helpful - QM you gotta give her a bonus point for that!

'Smudgiepoos' - surely that deserves a point taken away for mis-quoting a name? [Razz]

<dolphy, who is now off to look at that link since she is also new to this game! [Biased] >

Smudgiepoos? Smudgiepoos???
(Actually, on consideration, that sounds rather disgusting.... hee hee, like the contents of a baby's nappy when first weaned onto their five fruit and veg!)

As you know, this dolphin is very tuna friendly [Biased]

And as for Smudgiepoos; well for goodness sakes, are we not adults here? Is this not a serious quiz? I vote all Mummys to be should no longer compete in this game for fear of de-railing not only the thread but the use of proper words! [Razz]
