Since it's more important to not get knocked out than to win each round (hint hint, newbies!), that should be enough for now

I love spinach! It us the yummiest vegetable ever created! No-one else in my house eats it, but I buy ready-washed young leaf spinach and pop it in the microwave for a minute or two. Best eaten with lots of butter and black pepper! Yum!

Q. Why are vegitables different colours like red, orange, green, yellow?
A. Because they are for aesthetic purposes. Otherwise the plate of meat and potatoes with gravy would be only brown and white.
You don't actually eat any of these things, do you?

My vote is for Passionfruit (this being a Christian website...)
When I was growing up I called them "Lemonade Fruit." They are good to eat when dark purple, hard, and slightly wrinkled. The inside is a yellow-green pulp filled with seeds, which tastes like aromatic lemonade.

Might I suggest that competitors also consider what affect their signature lines might have on their entries.
Lack of one may make your post invisible: certainly you wouldn't want someone else to steal your entry, or the Quizmaster to fail to score your post.

There are definitely some Originality points coming your way Dolphy, hopefully before the men in white coats.
TWO REQUESTS RECEIVED:
1) Professorkirke would like to join in as a full member and I will allow him to unless I receive an objection from an existing player. Is he a Superstar? Will he steal your thunder? As it is still ROUND 1 nobody should lose out.
2) Procrastinus has changed to Doublethink and I am happy for him to continue under the new name unless an existing player has an objection.
N.B. At the end of Round 1 once there have been some knockouts there will be no more entries.

Horseradish
"Horseradish is a perennial herb and a member of the mustard family, to which cauliflower and Brussels sprout belong. This pungent root grew in Greece more than 3,000 years ago. Medieval people regarded horseradish as an aphrodisiac and claimed it to be the cure for everything. From the Bible, it is known as one of the five "bitter herbs" and is traditionally served at Passover. Folklore also has it that the Indians used horseradish to treat toothaches. Horseradish syrup was taken as a cough medicine."
