'Sworking for me right now.
What did y'all decide the plants are? Are these the same as before? Potted plants with leaves close to the pot, and then a taaaaaaaaaaall skinny stick with some kind of pink something at the top.
I do miss the previous chapel with the sunlight moving across it.
I wonder how this one seems if you're actually there though, and if it seems nicer than the previous one if you're really in it. And/or if they have more future plans for it.
Maybe it's to not distract you from adoration of Jesus Himself.

Yup, plants are back, on the altar, this time.
Are they Zen monks really, d'ya think? These stick-y flowers could be artificial ones? And arranged according to some secret ikebana rules?
What are they trying to tell us? A cry for help? De Monk code? [ 07. May 2006, 06:01: Message edited by: Wesley J ]

The right-hand plant is clearly a triffid. You can see its legs. It's not been moved, it's walking across the room of its own accord, drawn by the comforting presence of TMBSotA.
It has obviously eaten all the monks, or whatever it is that triffids do to their victims.

I think it's all too likely that the poor monks have been eaten. But perhaps this is the cue for nuns to move in - two or three brisk, no-nonsense sisters who would paint that ghastly back wall, organise crisp and well-ironed altar linen, replace those menacing plants with vases of fresh flowers from the garden, speak firmly to the Bishop if he procrastinates in future, and, above all, make sure that Jesus gets out regularly.

From the amount of time (over a week) that the lights have hovered at the bottom of the jars, I can only conclude that they've replaced the candles with torch bulbs. Maybe that was what all the kerfuffle was with the lid of the altar - they were routing out grooves for the wiring and installing a car battery in the hole.

SO has anything actually happened since the chapel went live again? I have read earlier postings with envy, wild heady tales of monks scurrying across view, and the occasional outing of Himself.
Have I infact stumbled across some terrible joke, and who is in on the joke? The Monks? Those who posted the tales of activity earlier on? Everyone except me???

The two lights on the right are definitely candles, white ones. Don't think the monks've gone for oil lamps yet.
The burning candles on the right both a bit more than halfway down, currently, the ones on the left nearly all the way down. Can't make out the one at the wall.

This whole BS Webcam thing is an Abomination Unto The Lord. The chapel resembles a cleaned-up coal cellar, the fittings (including the Triffids) are nightmarish and Jesus is palpably absent.

I assume that since there are only three of them (the two co-founders and one novice according to the Home Page) that they are busy trying to merely keep up with daily obligations, finishing the work, paying the mortgage, and trying to recruit a few more novices to fill those cells.
Perhaps we should give them a bit a break, people.

That is quite exciting, not as eciting as the fact that the triffids seem to be floating mid-air. Why are these brothers cultivating levitating triffids?? And what have they(triffids/brothers) done with Jesus?

Sorry! I meant that perhaps they were having a hard time getting into this country; for example, they might be on the federal government's list of people who aren't allowed to fly -- or, more likely, have names similar to those who are on it. Or they might be having visa problems. Or they might be stuck in some other vile form of bureacratic Limbo.
It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the Living Bureaucracy.
Back on topic: I hope they come quickly to tidy up the tryffids!

Ahhh. You guys have jogged my memory. It's been soooo long I didn't know there was a new chapel. I have however concluded that the right hand wobbly sticky thing is a boomeranf, symbol of the always-not-quite-yet return of our Lord. To tjhe left is a key, opening mysteries hithertofore unimagined. We must wait fior the two to superimpose, and then thje Second Coming (either of a monk or of Our Lord) will take place.

Scroll down the page a wee bit from the webcam and you find a link to the "Adoration Schedule." Even taking account of the time difference, I think I've been there at most of those times on most of those days but I've yet to see Jesus exposing Himself on the altar. Hell, I haven't even seen Him peeking out of His cupboard.
All most fishy. Perhaps the triffid-things have taken control of the minds of the munx prior to conquering the world? Or something.
