Also praying for the family of Hillsborough campaigner, Anne Williams, who died of cancer yesterday. A truly inspirational woman, she fought in memory of her son for 24 years and sadly didn't survive to see the new inquest take place.

They recently suspected that N's skin cancer was back after succesfully removing/fighting it a few years ago. Tests earlier this week confirmed the return, and he's having an operation today to try and remove the melanoma, which will probably also require a skin graft due it being the second time round on the same area of the body.

Well, post-op scans have revealed that the only trace of the cancer was in the tissue which was removed - there was no spread !
thank you for your prayers, and Praise God !

Thanks to all for the community of prayer. The surgery went well, though more than expected. I look like a rag doll now! Sore, but happy.

Our younger daughter and her partner were in Boston while this was going on, her partner being called into one of the hospitals to cover during the emergency. Their feeling is of much sadness that this could be possible, so we pray for healing to be felt in Boston, and for some tortured minds to be healed, too.

A while back I asked for prayers for my three adult children, each of whom has been going through a difficult time in different ways.

Thank God, and thanks to all your prayers, there are positive changes in each one's life now. (I will mention this on the Praise thread too).

The one whom I mentioned as having a possibly life-threatening disorder has made a huge turnaround for the better, and the issues the other two were dealing with are also beginning, it seems, to reach some resolution.

Although I know it's harder to pray for people without the details that make their stories more real, I feel it's not my "stuff" to divulge here....but we're not out of the woods yet.

I ask for your continued prayers for these young people so very dear to me -and to many others.

I am starting to think there really is something in this prayer business.....I give thanks for the faith and sustained prayer I see here on this thread every day.

For those caught in the earthquake in China.

What Campbellite said.

For the family known to Grammatica, for reconciliation.

For Lamb Chopped's C, for healing and peace.

For Cara's adult children, for continued healing and resolution and a way out of the woods.

For more work and for a good doctor's visit for Sir Kevin this week.

For continued employment for me, ideally a) in my current post or b) in the same institution and geographical area (but at least as good) or c) somewhere just as good. I LOVE that I'm in the place I'm in now. But if there's no more funding to be had I'll have no alternative but to go somewhere else.

For the Telemum.

For my mind to put something to rest and bring another thing to life.

Okay... The Telemum just confabulated something, which she has never done before.

She quickly deconstructed the mistake, and she was cognitively overwhelmed at the time (this is someone who, throughout my life, has experienced writing the grocery list as an agonising ordeal taking several hours). But still, confabulation? (there was a power cut and she told me the electric company had called her back to say the power was back on, and that she had come upstairs to tell me this; in fact the electric company had only said they *would* call, and she had come up to tell me what they had told her).

[Paranoid]

She's got hyperparathyroidism for the last six months and is having a small operation to remove the growths in just under three weeks. This better just be a symptom of that. We don't want any dementia here. We ADHD-sporting folk are daft enough without it.

Er, this is what I've been up to (book).
