For JoannaP and her congregation as they mourn the loss of Brian.
For a safe journey home for Lyda*Rose's Ken, and for comfort for Mark.
Certain people were pleased! I still have to spend a lot of time on the hatey hateful stuff, so please let it be over soon. (Let me tell you, it's absolutely ruined my plans to go as Hannibal for my Halloween party. Gastronomically, there's no way I can make time to live up to that now.)
For my paper to be published. And the first author of the accepted one is kind of, well, whimsical. I am genuinely worried that he could do something like lose the camera-ready draft or fail to upload it, and the thing won't get published after all. I'd like to be able to stop that from happening without adding even more to my workload.
For the Telemum. [ 22. October 2013, 01:01: Message edited by: Telepath ]

Ken did indeed die that night and I know he is with God. Mark came to church a few hours later with his father's prayer shawl around his shoulders, his father's favorite cairn terrier in his arms, and his own partner who almost never comes to church by his side. I'm happy that Mark seemed to find great comfort in being with us, and I pray that we will continue to give him the support he needs in his grief.

I have been unwell for a couple of weeks, extreme fatigue, hair loss and muscle weakness (I have intermittent thyroid problems and I think my exam stress triggered a relapse). Please pray that my trips to the doctor's over the next few days are productive. It's also beginning of term and I need to get some work done at a pace which keeps my students happy and my stress levels down. Thank you

Please pray for Robbie, the adult son of a friend. He has cerebral palsy, autism and epilepsy. At the moment he is having a lot of seizures (his parents think he has a urine infection but doctors can't find anything) which are distressing for him and his family. Please pray for relief from the fits, so that he may rest properly and recover.

My dear cousin Rich, has gone home to God after battling Alzheimer's (what an evil disease that is) A blessing that he is in his heavenly home with the whole family now. No funeral, as there are so few of us left And the ones left are flung all over the US and a bit infirm. (and that sadly includes me after 2 falls last week on my knees) My middle name is now officially, "The Klutz").

For a productive day tomorrow. I'm effectively doing two jobs right now. First author is extremely draining to work with and seems to expect that I will devote 100% of my time from last Tuesday to this coming Friday, to redrafting a paper that has already been accepted and on which I am only the third author. It takes all my strength not to just grind to a halt in situations like this.
For Ye Olde Motherboarde in the loss of her cousin Rich. For Robbie & family.
For Lyda*Rose's Mark, his partner and the soul of Ken.
For peace and healing for Heavenly Anarchist.
For those suffering from the fires in New South Wales.
For another job for Sioni's P, our middle son.
For Kasra's friends and their child, Lord have mercy.
For Amanda B. Reckondwythe's sister, for healing.
For comet and her children, for patience. [ 23. October 2013, 21:31: Message edited by: Telepath ]

I'm fighting yet another low level stupid bug of some kind. Each time I get better for a couple of days something else hits back. I have an acute headache almost every day, complete exhaustion a lot of the time and a perpetual sore throat on top of all the bugs. It is really getting me down. I got the results of glandular fever blood test back today. It isn't that. I was so disappointed not to have an answer to what is wrong that I am almost in tears. Struggling to keep going.

Scheduled for rheumatologist Nov 2 and surgery (unrelated) Nov 7. Really hoping the rheumatologist a) takes me seriously, b) doesn't blame me for causing my own condition, whatever it is, and c) has some idea how to make it better. It hurts.

Last night, a chink came out of one of my molars. It's a tooth with anfairly deep filling and one side of it just came away. It doesn't hurt, for which I'm grateful. But I'm afraid to eat on it, in case the filling becomes weakened. Please pray for a timely dentist's appointment. I'm going away on a training course next Thursday, so would prefer it to be fixed by then!

Your prayers would be appreciated here. It is the usual, I am trying to give my husband and my mother the support they need without jeopardising my own well-being or neglecting my work too much.. and not doing very well at any of it at the moment.

I don't like going there, either, Starbug, but best to get it over with - and an early appointment means not too long to worry about it.

Thanks for the prayers. I had my emergency dental appointment this morning, expecting him to just look and then tell me to make a longer appointment next week. Instead, he did a new filling straight away. Very relieved.

At the start of October I began a new temporary job. Although it was only temporary I was told there was a strong chance it could become permanent; I put all my energy into it and thought it was going well. Today I was told that the college is being reorganised, for financial reasons, and my job has disappeared. So I'm unemployed again.
On top of that, an old knee problem has resurfaced this week. Although relatively minor, it is giving me so much pain it is very hard to walk or drive. I don't know what the fuck is going on.
