Sorry - bit of a self-indulgent post, but I'm feeling old, unwanted, rejected and generally sh*t. I know it will pass - but a few prayers that it passes sooner than later would be good [Frown]

Please pray for my friend Ginny. She is ninety-four years old and broke her hip about a month ago.

She has been gradually failing over the past several years. Last December she fell and broke her pelvis. She recovered slowly from that, but she said more than once that she wished she would die.

Yesterday a friend visited her, and Ginny failed to recognize her. She was crying and complaining of pain. The nurse gave her something to relieve the pain. All attempts at rehabilitation have been abandoned; she just doesn't have enough physical strength.

Please pray for freedom from pain and peace of mind.

Miss M has just started what we hope is the last intensive round of chemo. Done in clinic three times a week, not one week in two admission to hospital. It's knocking her around a bit, big black eyes, tiredness, nausea despite medication, joint pain. It will probably cause a second round of drug induced diabetes, so she takes her own blood sugar levels every few hours and has some idea of the meaning of the readings. A parent has to wake her at 3:00 am for another finger prick and reading.

Doctors are happy with her progress but it's hard seeing her so washed out and lethargic again.

Reading and praying. Hear our prayers O Lord for needs known and unknown.

Thank you all so very much for your prayers. About 45 minutes before the start of church all cleared and services went well. I am sure knowing that I had your prayers helped me to relax in body, mind and spirit so healing could happen. Have no idea what the bug? was but just glad that it seems gone for good.

I got down to the last 25 - which is great 'n' all, but I really need this job. Maybe maybe maybe..?
If you don't mind praying for me, I'd be very grateful.

Interview seemed to go pretty well, as did the "group activities" bit, but I got one of the basic mental-arithmetic questions wrong in the interview - please can you pray that maybe I did something well enough to let them gloss over that, and that maybe I might get it anyway?

I got it! I got the job!
Very relieved and rather pleased.
Thank you for your prayers.

I'd like to request prayer. I'm having surgery tomorrow to have a gastric stimulator implanted. Hopefully this will help, as I've been having a lot of difficulty this year with gastroparesis this year. This should reduce nausea and hopefully allow me to eat better.

I'd appreciate prayers for the surgery to go safely and well, and for this new device to really help. I've been waiting months for this procedure and I really pray that it works!

Thanks.

Diagnosed with two kidney stones, one in the "mother of all kidney stones" neighborhood (5mm x 9mm). The surgeon put in a stent to drain the kidney and reduce swelling; I will go back next week to have the stones taken care of.

Thus, spent 12 hours today in l'hôpital, most of it in some level of either agony or screaming agony.

Prayers that they can deal with these turkeys properly next week, and I can soon be free of this pain.

Also will miss 2 days of work this week and 1 next week; in a 6-week gig, that hurts.

Thank you all, and adding my [Votive] for the many needs here expressed.
