Quick note, reposted from Facebook:

Cubby should be coming home today, with home health people and a physical therapist set up as well... hospital bureaucracy has been driving him and me INSANE... charges for things (like the trip home, for which he needs assistance that I am not able to do, the use of a non-huge-scooter wheelchair to get him to his actual bedroom, etc.) that his Medicaid insurance won't pay for, grrrr, etc.

But he's COMING HOME HALLELUJAH!!

A special request for tomorrow, prayer warriors.
My dear friend is seeing a specialist tomorrow about her unborn baby. please can people hold her and her husband in mind, before God, as they try to make good decisions and not give in to fear and despair?

Thank you. There is still life and hope and faith and love. Above all, love.

We are still, inexplicably, camped out around my dad's hospice bed. We are all pretty much exhausted, kept going by the love, kindness and good wishes of friends and family far and wide. Every day we seem to wake up and think "Surely it has to be today," and yet here we are... even the medical staff are starting to raise their eyebrows.

God moves in mysterious ways. I've run out of other explanations.

Praying through [Votive]

I have a meeting with the Head Teacher and the Business Manager tomorrow afternoon about a referral to Occupational Health. I need to talk about the chronic laryngitis that piggy-backs on every cold I get, but I'm not sure how much to say about the stress-induced depression that is making life difficult at present.

The BM is a good guy. The Head is okay, but I have a notion he rather dislikes me. Because of past experience I am mistrustful, and don't want to rely on people having high standards of professionalism, even if all the signs are I can be frank.

Prayers for wisdom, courage and strength would be welcome [Votive]

God bless, all.

I could bear it no longer. Thank you, Jesus, for St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store for having what we need. In theory, we'll be called by the medical supply people and they'll bring it by today, but ... it's been three days, and the need for this item was pretty damn desperate. (And thank God for the price being good at the thrift store too.)
